Homemade Goodness

I made Logan some teething biscuits this weekend. I tried 2 different recipes but the first one was like a roll. I was thinking what part of "teething" makes someone think that a soft roll would be at all helpful? It's supposed to be really hard. Well the second ones I made were just that. My brother was over this weekend (he's 10) he asked to try one, of course I said "you are not going to like it" because they are pretty bland. But he wanted one anyway. He tried to bite down on it, but that didn't really work out for him. They are seriously hard as a rock, but with a little slobber, which Logan was blessed with an abundance of, they loosen right up. So far I have given him 3 and every time I get a little better at the finger sweep. Poor Logan doesn't like momma's finger in his throat. But it's better than the alternative! He actually does really good with them but they are a solid food so I do have to keep a close eye on him. Not like I don't anyway.

First trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We went with the Bolopue's to the Arlington
Pumpkin Patch on Sunday. It was pretty fun even though we didn't get our pumpkins then. We'll get ours later.
I think Logan could be starving and poopy at the same time but still LOVE being in the Baby Bjorn. They are so cute!
Tommy Joe doing the pumpkin sling shot, poor little pumpkins.
Jakes turn, he was all muscles!
Daddy found the perfect shaped pumpkin in the patch! But since we were not buying that day Bekki bought it instead.
What a perfect picture. He's mommies little pumpkin!

Logan's first soccer game

We went up to Kris & Bekki's this weekend and had a great time. Saturday was Jake's (their 5 year old) last soccer game, so of course we went to show our support. It was pretty chilly that morning so we bundled up and headed out. The pic about is Logan and Tommy (their 2.5 year old). Tommy thought that was pretty cool that he got to sit next to Logan in the car.
Logan enjoying some dehydrated apples with Auntie Bekki.
Can you see his big toofers?
Jake (left) and Kris (right) practicing before the game. They were all so cute playing. Good job Jake, we're so proud of you!

The many faces of Logan

Logan is totally trilled in this picture, can't you tell? Logan's Doc told me to try more finger foods with him so he can get better at chewing. She said to try whatever I'm already feeding him just in solid form not pureed (not everything but somethings to get him more interested). She also said to try egg yokes. Yuk! I am NOT a fan of JUST the yoke. I HAVE to have the white with it. But Logan isn't supposed to have the whites yet. So I tried to feed him hard boiled egg yokes and this is what I got in return...
"Mom, I think there is something wrong with that, how about it tastes nasty! Please I'm begging you don't make me eat another bite, I'm clearly terrified!". "Oh come on Logan just try another bite" "Mom, I'm warning you if you do I'll...
that's right I'll stop breathing and start gagging, you asked for it!"
Whatever! Then I gave him dehydrated strawberries and bananas and some juice and he was all silly faces...

"I see you sticking your tongue out at me, good thing it's cute at your age or I'd put you in timeout mister".
All and all he is such a happy baby and pretty easy going. He makes me laugh all day. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect little boy! I love you Yogies!

What are you laughing at guys?

Logan loves cheerios! So usually I will give him a handful while I am cooking dinner to keep him occupied. I looked over after a minute or two and found a happy baby baby making faces with a cheerio stuck to him forehead.
This is his new special face. He started it when he came down with a cold a month ago. He was doing it because his nose was so stuffed up. But the face has turned in to a keeper, probably because Rob & I laugh so much at him when he does it. I love that kid! He has stated to make fish kiss noises, sometimes he can make the face with the noise but usually it's just the noise.

9 month check-up

So usually I don't make a post without pictures but I wanted everyone to know how big Logan is. He had his check up yesterday and weighed in at 22lb 3oz (75%) 27 3/4 in (25-50% we know where he gets that) and his head was 46cm (75%). What a big boy! We officially have to get a new car seat. That sucks! Oh well.

9 months old

Logan is such a blessing in our life! I know I say this every month, but I can't believe how old he is. He is 3/4 of a year! WOW!
Trying to get a poseing picture is like pulling teeth!
He tried to eat everything! Finally I stopped trying to get a "perfect" pic because I was worried he would beak one of Julie's new decorations. Silly Logan Berry.
Did you all know that garland is eatable? Logan says it is.
And ghost's are too!

He is sitting up on his own really well. He still loves food. He thinks everything within his reach goes in his mouth first. He loves playing with his friend Jack. He takes 2 really good naps everyday, well almost. He has 2 teeth. He is officially in 12 month clothes. He is in size 4 diapers, I know a couple of 2 1/2 year olds that are in size 4 also. That's crazy! He loves to tickle fight with daddy. He is almost out of his infant car seat. (We are going to his 9 month check-up in an hour so I will find out if we are buying a carseat this weekend or not.) He loves books. He loves to be sung to. He loves Sesame Street (but doesn't really get to watch it enough to count as watching tv). He has turned into a momma's boy. It's pretty sweet but kind of annouing at the same time. He loves to cuddle, when he's tired. He refuses to crawl. We keep trying to get him up on all fours, but as we are trying we realize the faster he's on all fours the harder my job gets. So if he wants to be lazy, fine by me! I'm sure there are many more things about my boy that I'm missing but he's whining with arms out, I think that's his way of saying "Mommy".

I hope all our readers, Family & Friends have a wonderful Halloween! Be safe and eat lots of candy! I'm sure I will post before then but just in case. Oh that reminds me I still have to figure out what we are dressing up as. I know we have a couple of parties to go to. Any ideas for a Dad, Mom and Baby?
