Happy Halloween!!

We did indeed break the Sabbath to take Logan trick-or-treating this year. It was the first year that he could actually do it and we were so terribly busy all weekend with birthday parties that we missed all the truck or treating (which would have been more fun anyway!). Anywho, we set out around 6:45 with some family and we were headed to the Mill Creek City Hall for their truck or treating. When we drove by we couldn't help but notice the sea of people. It was more crowed than the fair. So we ditched our family that decided to go for it anyway and headed back towards our house for some "light" trick-or-treating. We were so happy with that decision! Logan had the best time saying "treat" {in a whisper voice} and "thank you" I couldn't imagine not taking him. He ran from one house to the next so excited to get some candy. Every few houses he would start to freak out because he wanted to eat it right now!! So I opened a pixie stick and poured a tiny bit in his mouth every few houses. It gave him just enough of a sugar rush to finish the job {he was running on pure sugar since he wasn't able to nap that day}.

The above pictures were taken on Halloween with Rob's cell phone. They turned out OK, but we didn't get any good quality shots. So tonight we reenacted Halloween.

Trick-or-treating for Daddy.

"See Mom, a treat, a cany. I eat it?"

"No cowboy, not yet!!"

From left to right: Mama's Frankenstein, Daddy's Mickey, Bean's Lightning McQeen and last but not least Mama and Daddy's homemade Cowboy Logan.

Oohh, scary! Mickey doesn't like his picture taken. Note to self. ;)

Happy Halloween, all!
I'm so excited that the Holidays are here!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Todd!

Bean in HIS birthday suit waiting for the party to start. We hosted an extremely last minute 60th birthday party for Rob's dad, Todd. He was born on Halloween so he's pretty used to not celebrating on the 31st. But this year I/we felt it was important that we celebrated on the day he was born. So a small family party right after church and before trick or treating is what we did. However, I don't have any pictures to account for the festivities. That's hard when you're the host, ya know? Oh, and your camera's digital display is cracked and you can't tell what kind of picture you took until you uploaded them. Ya, we're working on that.

There aren't enough words to explain it...

I couldn't be more pleased with the imagination of our growing boy.

You can't tell me that that face doesn't make you roll on the floor and laugh!! Doesn't matter if it doesn't, because he thinks he's hilarious and that's all that matters.

Helpen

Rob was helping me out by vacuuming and Logan decided he needed in on the action. He's doing a fine job so far...
By making sure the vacuum gets a rest :)

Whew, hard work. Check.
Rubber boot cold drink. Check.

Ah, a {refreshing} rubber boot cold drink. Check. Check.

What a silly goose.

Is your bed a mountain?

Bean's bed is.

Eww, yuck!

Since I clearly suck at blogging these days here's a few random pics.

The terrible thing about not blogging enough is that I can't even remember why I took a picture of a naked and dirty pawed little boy. But I'm posting it anyway in hopes of remembering soon. What good is a dirty hand without a dirty face?

L thought it was pretty funny that I was taking pictures while laying on the floor.

I'm pretty sure he was trying to poop and I was harshing his buzz.

More pics to come.

The Sweetest Phrase on Earth

"yu you, mama!" Is what I heard as I left for work this morning and when I called to check in before nap time. Rob's response to my heavy sigh, "don't tear up on me baby", me "I'll try {sigh}". Logan is talking so much these days and it melts my heart to pieces when he expresses his feelings. To hear him say those 3 sweet words could easily make me skip work and stay at home with him in my arms all day...then reality hits :(
Ah well, my boy is doing just fine adjusting to his new "Mama" fill-ins. This week is actually Daddy! Luckyyyyyy, he's on vacation! Which means I don't have to do the dishes!!!
