"Mommy pass me the hammer...peas?!"

What do you mean "pass you the hammer? you're a baby?!"

Logan is now on the move! He has begun to scoot. Yippee! Well actually now I'm kinda realizing why it was a blessing that he was content with just sitting. He tries (and some times successful) to get into EVERYTHING!
I put all of his toys under the coffee table. So that is his new favorite place to "hang out".
But as time went on he got bored and couldn't get out. His melon is too big!
He couldn't figure out that he needed to lower his head down and scoot backwards at the same time. That is an awful lot of motor skills to use at the same time. Especially for my little late bloomer. He bonked his head quite a few times before he finally hollered for help.
Keri-maybe Logan can finally try to keep up with Jack!

Yogies has been on my "good list" this week. I'm not saying that he is bad or anything but i am exceptionally proud of him this week. I finally got fed up with having to hold him until he was fast asleep before I could lay him down. Because even then he would, more times than not, wake up as I was laying him down. Sometimes he was so tires that he would just roll over and go to sleep. But usually I have to stay in there and make him stay in a certain position, sing, rub his back, rub his head, etc. I feel that he is more than old enough to be able to go to sleep on his own. So on Tuesday I was talking to a friend and was letting out my frustrations about laying Logan down for naps and bed. She looked at me very "mater-of-factly" and said "Let him cry it out". I have tried that before I said, when he was just a couple of months old and it didn't work at all. I've even tried it a couple of random times since but didn't have any luck. But this time I tried it with confidence. It worked like a charm! He cried/fussed for about 25-30 minutes, then I went back in there to give him his paci & blanket back and he went right to sleep. I was floored. He even slept better, more soundly. After that first time crying so long, he now hardly makes a peep when we lay him down. I must have been in the right place at the right time to hear my friend say exactly what Logan needed for me to hear. It was like he was waiting for me to release the reins. He has fallen asleep on his own ever since. It's amazing how much frustration and stress goes into laying a baby/toddler (I can't believe I can call him that now) down to sleep. I just can't get over it. I post-poned this post for a while because I didn't want to "count my chickens before they hatched" but I think/hope/pray that we will continue on the path that we are on. I'm so proud of my little monster.

"Sup Dude, I'm 10...months"

Logan was a little "Biker Dude" last night. All he needed was a pair of chaps and a leather jacket. Oh and maybe a helmet (minor detail).
I know I keep saying this, but he really is the most handsome baby boy I have ever seen!
That is the face he makes when he squeals. Still cute.
Uncle Garrett decided that it would be funny if we put the wizard hat (it is for the cats) on Logan's head.
Logan says "whatever!"

HaPpY hAlLoWeEn!

Here we are, "You & Me Plus He!" (We should have a show). Halloween was not exactly exciting this year but it was fun to dress Logan up. I had my eyes peeled for this Monster costume I had seen sometime in August or September but I wasn't about to pay full price or buy the wrong size. So I put it off and put it off, but finally the Saturday before I found it on sale! Yippee! Rob was a UPS man and I was a Cheerleader. Mine was lame but it's better than not dressing up at all.

We stopped by my mom's house first. It was being watched by my Nana and Aunt Julie. No my mom wasn't there, she was working. Lame-O! But she can't seem to get over the fact that someone might come knocking on her door and no one would be there to answer it. It very well could be the end of the world, according to my mom. She is the reason we didn't get home until 11 o'clock at night. We will never do it again. So the night went as such: I had Logan go down for a late nap because Rob had to work late. So by the time we left the house it was 7:30! We stopped by my mom's to see Nana and Julie (10 minute visit), then we went to Dustin, Megan and June's (my cousin's, 10 minute visit) then to Dustin's parents Tracy & Gary, my mom's best friend Cheri and her daughter Sophie were there also (20 minute visit) then to Woodinville to see my mom, she was at work mind you I hate visiting her while she is working, anyway (15 minute visit) then we ended at Todd & Jorgene's which is where we should have been all night because it's Todd's Birthday on Halloween. But nooooo, my mom had to throw a temper tantrum. We will be going to family and friends that live in the same zip code next year. If anyone wants to see us they can check out the blogg or come to our house. Sorry if that sounds a little harsh but it took me all weekend to get Logan back on his schedule. My kind of Halloween is taking the kids trick or treating then coming home curling up on the couch watching Halloween movies and answering the door for the little ones. I love to see all the costumes. Hopefully next year we will be in a place where we will get lots of kiddies in costumes.
Megan and June Bug! Isn't she the custest little girl you have ever seen? She has the biggest smile, it is so sweet.
Logan getting his last bottle of the night at Grandma and Grandpa Schmalle's. Do you see his milk gotee?sp?

Cruzin'

Logan is a pretty good car rider. We bought him a new car seat a month or so ago and it has a really long tightening strap and if we don't slide it under his leg then he had reach it. What does Logan do with things in his reach? Put's them in his mouth of course, where else would they go?

Beaver?

Ok... Logan's dream is to be a beaver. He likes wood. And he likes water. He just needs to work on that big tail and he's on to something.
"Uh-ho momma's coming I had better stop...
Agh, forget it, it tastes too good!"

He got up to his knees!

Where's Waldo? I Mean Logan?

Just a week before this picture we had to lower his mattress! Now we have to lower the stickin thing again. Can you see the sock that is stuck in between the crib rails and the bumper? Both of his sock were off and soaking wet. When Rob went in to get him he hadn't turned the light yet, he put his hands in the crib and was feeling around for his paci. He thought that I put a wet wipe in his crib when I laid him down, that's how wet the socks were. SICK BAG!
"Oh looky here what have I found... a string that I'm not supposed to have". I think they (the designers that make bumpers) need to come up with another type of attachment system. FYI: The strings suck! I have had to sew 4 strings back on because they suck.

He almost has the concept of getting on his knees. Not quite there.

A Caveman and A Daddy

Somewhere along the way I picked up a Caveman. I couldn't remember where I found him so I just decided to keep him for now. But one brisk morning I found a note that said he had gone home. But Logan & I did get Daddy back...
Hooray!!! He's back. No more scratchy face. I hated it at first but then it started to "grow" on me. At the end it was really soft. Rob said he was going to grow it out until November 1st but it didn't happen. I'm just late posting, like usual. He shaved it off a week early. Chicken! But the look on Logan's face was priceless. Rob came out of the shower and Logan and I were on the bed. Rob called for Logan, he looked over and gave Rob the sweetest smile. Like I really had traded a Caveman for Daddy and now he's back! You could totally tell that Logan recognized Rob's clean shaven face. Logan loved it when Rob would tickle his neck or belly with his hairy face. I would come into the room after hearing baby giggles and find a half naked baby with pink splotches all over. We had a good time with the Caveman, but we had to say "Goodbye".
