A quick getaway to Birch Bay

Rob, Logan and I were able to get away for a couple of days thanks to the Crossley's (again)! Birch Bay is almost to the Canadian border. We saw lots of ducks and seagulls. And fed them a whole loaf of bread. The little boys thought that was pretty cool (or maybe us adults enjoyed it more).
"dat?"

Family photo op.

Trying to get Logan to pose with some really cool stumps.

He SO wanted to run right into the ocean.

My sweet boy and hairy caveman husband (also sweet).

This is the mama cow. She was nursing a baby calf while we were talking to them. So sweet. She was also a pig. Every time we tried to hand feed them grass, she would barge in front of the other cows and eat it. I know she's nursing and all, but really?

The boys had a grand time playing with the pumpkins and gourds.

The boys giving each other a hug. Dang they're cute!
Are any of my future children going to be THIS cute? I hope so.

Logan not really sure about this situation.
Keri and I found a couple of $1 stores. AWESOME! So we picked up a few things (right Keri, just a few?!). We found some shaving cream and thought the boys would love to play in it. And it's such easy clean up too.

Jack was awesome, he started washing himself with it. Ha-larious!

Logan needed a little more motivation, but learned to enjoy it.

Happy Halloween!

What does a mess like this produce?First place costume(s)!

Logan was/is a stud!

The Rubble's

Completely home made!

"The Fan" & The pumpkin Queen (my second favorite)

The King (aka-Burger King), Pirate & Bolt

Old Bat- Awesome! She put her lipstick on really bad, she had her sweater around her shoulders and silver gray hair. Very clever.

First place adult: Jellyfish! Kris was her side-kick as a surfer that had been stung a few times. The Jellyfish costume was my favorite, way to go Bek!

All the rugrats.

The whole gang!

Thanks for the party Bolopue's, it was quite the bash!

As I was making Logan's costume he refused to let me try it on him. I was very concerned that he wasn't going to go through with the whole costume thing. Much to my surprise, I put it on him and he left it alone and ON for the whole party! He even carried his club around without hitting people! That is leaps and bounds! I was happy he won 1st place for his costume, it was pretty cute I have to admit :) However, it wasn't no Shrek & Fiona like 2 years ago. We are already thinking about next years costumes...

Rudolf?

Rob has this flashing red light that he uses when he rides his bike. Logan of course, loves it. He tried to hook it on his shirt but it fell into his shirt and landed...

I was laughing so hard that it was hard to take the pictures. By the end Logan wasn't so thrilled and wanted it out!

I was cleaning the bathrooms the other day and Logan decided he wanted to "help" me. Sweet, right? Not when he wants to clean the toilet :) I couldn't bypass this opportunity to encourage this behavior. I gave him a paper towel and this is what I found:

He was so proud of himself.

Then Auntie Laura came over. He proceeded to throw a temper tantrum (normal occurrence). But this time he was so embarrassed {and tired} that he laid on the floor and fell asleep. This is the first he has ever fallen asleep on the floor. He usually has to be in his bed.

What a cutie.

What a hot summer does...

to my Halloween decorations. When I pulled this sad "thing" out of the box I wasn't sure what it was. Then I realized it "was" a candle! Crap.

I guess my decorations require central air. Ya, you and me both :)

5

That's the number of pounds I've lost since my last weight loss post!

All I've done really is cut back the amount of food I'm eating at any given moment. Smaller portions, no seconds, less unhealthy snacking and drinking lots of water. I still need to get myself to the gym, though.

There's always something to work on :) But knowing I've lost 5lbs really keeps me motivated.

Logan, you better watch out!

So today I finally ordered a parenting book: The Happiest Toddler on the Block, by Harvey Karp. Thanks for the advise Karissa, I hope :) I guess we'll find out if it works for us, as a family soon.

I sure hope this book covers hitting, because Logan seems to be a pro at it lately. It makes me so mad and I just want to sock him back! But I don't. But I really wish I could. That's just how I feel.
