A spontaneous trip to Whidbey Island

Saturday morning we decided we were going out...somewhere. As long as it was out of the house we didn't really care. Oh, and it couldn't cost a lot of the green stuff. We realized that Logan had never been on a Ferry before! That's criminal in our book. So off we went to catch the Ferry to Whidbey Island as foot travelers. It was the most perfect day to be by the ocean. It was hot inland, but right next to the cold ocean, I ALMOST needed a jacket. On our way to the Island, almost passing another Ferry.

"Wave to the Ferry"

We just so happened to pick the right day to go. They were having a festival that day! Lots of kites, food, music and more!

The kites were really the best part.

Logan- mesmerized

So this picture looks like he's yelling. Apparently Logan thinks everyone that has an ice cream cone is supposed to share with him. So this is the invitation to insert ice cream here!

"Hey, she didn't share!"

"High-five, Daddio"

Logan was practicing his emergency evacuation plan while Mom was in the potty. Were was Dad? Oh, taking pictures to document exactly how it's done.

On the Ferry, looking down into the water.

Family photo time!

We had our friend Monkey along for the ride. I also like to call it a midget leash.

"Dat?"
"It's a Ferry, son."

Logan after a very fun day.

Oh crap! They wake up?!
His usual fight- wanting whatever we have and won't give him.

Later, enjoying a capri sun with Dad.

We really did have an awesome time! We are going to try and make this a regular family day trip.
