Christmas morning we went over to Rob's parents house. Aaron & Sarah (the newly weds) graced us with their presence all the way from Idaho. they just moved over there a couple weeks before. But we were glad to see them again. Because it will probably be a while before we see them again, with school starting soon. And lets face it, it costs a lot of money to travel.
Logan got a walker (like an old man has) but for babies. He really needed one. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Schmalle! It makes all kinds of noises when he walks, there are balls and shapes that go in the holes and they make noise too. The best part is that the wheels lock. He's not so good at walking, even with help. So when the wheels are unlocked he flies forward and usually eats it! But when the wheels are locked it is harder to push, but not too hard, just right. He is still (2 weeks later) a little scared and lacks the confidence. But we keep cheering him on when he does walk with it.
Logan got the "plug" cuz he kept eating the tissue paper. I knew he would love to open the presents, but he would sit there with a piece of tissue paper and rip it into a million little pieces. Of course some would end up in the mouth, yuk!
Even with all the snow, my Mom was bound and determend to make it to our house. It took her some 4 hours or so (she lives in Carnation). We however, did not have our Christmas with them until we could "rescue" Nana (she lives in between Monroe and Woodinville). They had a lot more snow than us and we were stuck. The manager of our Condo finally plowed the hill that we live on, so Julie (cuz she has the bigger vehicle) set out to "rescue" Nana (the day after Christmas). Low and behold they made it home safe and sound. Julie was soaked to the bone (she got stuck a couple of times and had to dig herself out). So we hosted a refuge camp in our 1200 sq ft condo. There is barely enough room for Me, Rob, Julie and Logan. Let alone my Mom, Garrett and Nana. It was a really long week!
