Naa, just kidding. Kinda.
We're moving! Yay! Out of crazy-drunken-college-town Seattle. We couldn't be more excited! We found a 4 bedroom 2 bath house is Bothell. We are currently packing like crazy and moving our stuff a few truck loads at a time. We have had our keys for about a week. It sure makes it less stressful when you have more than 24 hours. No more stairs, finally a washer, dryer and grass of our very own. Also, no more neighbors attached to our home. It's our first! Laura (Rob's sister) will also be living with us. Should be fun, fun! She will learn to love the early mornings, since Logan wakes up between 6 and 7am. She's not so excited about that part. Good thing she loves Logan or this will be the longest time of her life :)
So as Rob and I (mostly I, he won't be offended, he knows the truth) packed boxes they would be lined up along our dining room wall. Rob would then, bring home a work van (for free!) and load it will all our stuff. Before we even carried one box down the dreaded stairs of doom (as Julie calls them. She afraid of heights) I had the most brilliant idea! Barrow some wood from the maintenance closet and slide the boxes down the stairs. Our back and knees were banking on my light bulb moment. So here is the final product:
2 pieces of wood
a few more than 2 pieces of duct tape
a few more than 2 pieces of duct tape
Ok, so Rob still had to carry them down to the van. I had to carry them from inside the house down a few steps and on to the landing then send them down the slide (which is the best part :)).
Here, my stud of a husband, is catching a box. Some were VERY heavy.
I'm the kind of packer that doesn't want to leave any empty space in a moving box. If I think I can fit something else in it, chances are, I will.
Isn't Logan such a good helper? He makes sure than Elliott doesn't steel 'em. :) Yeah, right.

Congratulations! Can't wait to see pictures of the house. :-D
Yeah Jen! So excited for you to get into a house! It's the weirdest thing to think that you're not sharing a wall with ANYONE!!
We will probably be in the same stake...:)
Congratulations!
Jump up and down, turn the music up loud and scream as loud as you want! No more people to complain at you! That's what we did when we got our first house in Maltby. We did it again after getting this house. It is aN Awesome feeling! Congrats!!!!
Okay so the wood part is totally a GENIUS idea. That duct tape is amazing stuff with the right brain. Congrats on the home that is fantastic. You will LOVE being without your drunken crazies.
