Logan's very 1st trip to the Zoo was a success. He refused to take a morning nap so to the Zoo we went with our fingers and toes crossed that he wasn't going to act like an "animal". We were pleasantly surprised that he was an angel. Lots of runny around and "oooowing and aaaaahing" at the animals. Of course having 3 other little boys to play with was the coolest. Our group consisted of: Us, The Crossley's, The Shepherd's and friends of the Crossley's (I can't remember their last name). The Crossley's friends have a little boy named Bennett age 18 months, the Shepherd's have Landon 15 months (3 weeks younger than Logan) and then us with Yogi's 16months. We had our hands full, very full. Bennett and Jack snuck in a little catnap, while Logan and Landon decided they weren't gonna miss anything.
I had 90 pictures total, but I figured that was a bit overkill. OK, lets be honest I couldn't let anyone go with out seeing our loot of pics. Enjoy!

Logan loved to watch the pretty Peacock. He didn't make any noises like I expected him to do (I mean the Peacock, not Logan. They usually make this loud noise, it's pretty funny).

"Mama, I like the goats. Can I take him home?"

"I promise I'll share my stuff."

"I'll smell like roses compared to him, Mama, please?"

He posed in that corner for a long time. Pete and Keri got some really good one's of him.

Logan and I stuck in the spider web.

Cruisin through the ant hill. All the boys thought that was the coolest thing.

Ben Shepherd being himself....silly.

Mama's little turtle.

"Who's your daddy?"

"Mama, he can be my friend?"

Sleepy Gorilla. As we stood there watching him, he picked his nose and ate it! So rude, where's his manners?

We were debating whether or not this monkey was prego.

This is what I spent most of the day doing. Lifting Logan up and pointing to the cool animals. I don't think he even saw half of them. It will be nice when he understands to look where I'm pointing.

"Good snakey, you just stay there and we'll stay here, then nobody has to get hurt. Cuz it ain't gonna be me!"

Keri & Jack. Doesn't that smile melt your heart?

The turtles are one of my favorite sites at the Zoo. So Keri and I had both watched Oprah this last week when she had her "Green" show. One of the things they were showing was animals being affected by our litter. They had a picture of an old turtle that had a plastic ring around it's middle and his shell had grown around it. It was horrible. {I have been recycling much better since that show, thanks Oprah!} Anyway, Keri and I looked at this turtle and thought at the same time "I wounder if that poor turtle had a plastic band around it's belly?" Cuz his shell isn't "normal" shaped. Kinda funny how people are thinking the same thing at the same time.

Where ever there was glass with animals on the other side, there was Logan with his face pressed against it. He loved looking through the glass.

"Mom, can I go swimming with those Turtle's? It's not too deep?!"

"Step away from my piece of glass. No, there isn't room for both of us."

Sleeping sloth.

Tigers.

Snow Leopard's. They were not being very photogenic.

Birdies doin the dirty!

Pretty bird. Forgive me for not knowing/remembering all the names of all the animals.

Emu

Kangaroo's

Elk

Bald Eagle

Logan drinking from Rob's Hydro-pack. It was the best $15 we ever spent! Logan thought it was pretty cool to drink from it. He would usually get water all over himself, but he didn't care.

Logan & Daddy hangin with the brass Otters.

Yes, the glass again. We were actually looking for the otters. They are another animal on my top 5 favorite list. But wouldn't you believe they weren't anywhere to be seen. I was pissed. Logan would've loved them. They always come right up to the glass and make faces and dance around. Oh well, next time.

The big Brown Bears were entertaining. They were rolling around in the dirt.

Logan trying to convince Landon that he doesn't need his paci anymore.

One of my other favorites, the Elephants. I really wanted them to be taking a bath, that's the best!

Ben, Sarah, Landon, Logan and Rob. Watching the Elephant's.

Big Lizard guy.

Logan and Landon, buds!

Mama and Daddy Lions.

Logan & I with the Reeraff's. When my brother was little and just learning to talk, he called Giraff's, Reeraff's. It's stuck with me ever since.

FAVORITE! They are so beautiful.

This is what I call Logan sometimes: Hungry Hipo!

Last but, according to Keri, not least, the Pink Flamingo's.

The end!
He was talking one minute, we look back the next and he's gone. What a sleeping angel.

I am so in the mood to go to the zoo now. Cute pictures!
I can't believe you missed the otters! They were in the "Otter Den" in between the two tanks...they were sleeping. This just means that we'll have to go again! :) We had a great time with you guys!
They were there the whole time? Freak! Oh well, I guess we will have to go back. We're going on Mother's Day for a couple hours. Now that we have done the whole trip at once, I'm not doing it again. We're just going to go for a section at a time now. But we totally had a blast with you guys. We definitely need to get together more often.
Looks like you guys had fun! Our kiddos love the zoo, especially on sunny days. Oh and Logan's hair is great, love it!
