He looks pretty happy right? But what he doesn't know is that he is eating turkey. Why is this unusual you ask. Logan is a vegetarian. How can a 14 month old be vegetarian? I don't know! It drives me crazy. I get desperate at times to find protein that he will eat besides yogurt, milk and cheese. He does like tofu, but he is starting to get pickier about eating that too. Oh he does like cream cheese, so at least 3-4 times a week he gets cream cheese and jam sandwiches for lunch. They ARE pretty good, but he really needs to except animal protein and learn to like it. After all he is part of a "meat and potato" family. So today I decided to try and deceive him. I know not so honest, but desperate times call for desparate measures. I put a slice of turkey breast meat in his cream cheese sandwich.

He ate it all gone! What a turkey!

Hey Rob,
Your little buddy is the cutest thing ever! Look at that face! So fun to see you again, I found the link to your blog over at Nate & Monica's. Logan's birthday must be close to my son Sean's--he was born on December 12th, 2007.
Anyway. Just wanted to say hi and congratulations on your sweet boy! The turkey story cracked me up :)

Gerber sells these "meat sticks" (great name choice I know) and you might try making mashed pototoes and smash them into it. I did that with Rylee, even though she likes meat, and she loves it! I use a mixer for mashed potatoes so it was easy to just leave some in there for her and drop in the meat sticks for her meal.
